Saving our limited supply our fossil fuels sounds harder than it really is. To save oil basically is driving less. You can do by carpooling, using public transportation, combining multiple errands into one, or by walking, biking, etc. Another easier (but more expensive) way is to buy a fuel efficent car. It's also important to check your tires and engines annually to make sure you aren't using more gas than you need to. Currently, scientists and engineers are working extracting oil in difficult places, building more fuel efficent cars, and working on finding alternate energy sources (solar power, hydro-electricity, wind turbines, etc.). To save oil and coal, save electricity. By not wasting electricity (as akward as it sounds) can save fossil fuels since electricity is generated by coal and oil. You can do this by turning off your air condition, heater, etc. and replace them with insulation. You can also set your refrigerator a few degrees warmer, unplug elctronics when not in use, and fill your dishwashers and laundry machines COMPETELY!
